Simplicity

Amist the hustle and bustle of the holiday season, it’s important to remember simplicity is ours for the taking. Consider the joy in “little things”. The dawning of a new day. The smell of pine. Creating family recipes while listening to music or watching movies. Simplicity can be found, when we set our eyes upon finding it 🙂

As I dropped of packages at the post office and bought a tree today, I noticed those around me. Making eye contact and sharing a smile, today was a day of simplicity for me. It felt good to be in the moment and give thanks.

This is a gift we can give ourselves and others. The moments of stillness are priceless. Kindness and compassion abound. Joy is in the air.

The Minimalist Plate served up a blog post with downloadable pictures! They spoke of simplicity to me and I share them with you.

We’ve all had those times when life spins out of control; when we find it difficult to control anything. After decades of being a part of “reactive work”, it is a true joy to promote proactive acts to help us be ready for when the news isn’t always good. Making life a little easier for today and a lot easier for tomorrows to come is fulfilling.

Talking about life with those who matter is an amazing gift. Day to day life is often overlooked as a discussion item. Setting ourselves up to allow someone to step in and help out helps all.
