Estate Planning Myths and Facts

#NavigateAllTheMovingPiecesOfLife

These past few months have been insightful and enlightening during my work with clients. Often, I hear “I don’t need an estate plan, I don’t (have, need or … )! This has led me to create the following infographics, highlighting the top seven myths we’ve debunked that we’ll review here today.

As a preface, if you haven’t updated a will/trust (aka, an estate plan) in the past five/ten years, it may be wise to do so. State and National Laws change and you may wish to modify specifics written years back.

Let’s take a look at the Myths!

If you’re curious about any/all of these seven myths and would like additional information/detail, let me know. Happy to discuss with you, provide workshops for your department, company, family online, while we are living during a pandemic.

Important also to note that all business owners should proceed with caution if you haven’t completed a personal estate plan and/or if you haven’t considered how any calamity may impact your family and your business. How you structure your business (Sole Proprietorship, LLC, Partnership, C-Corp, B-Corp, S-Corp) will drive how things are maintained and/or settled.

Too often people wait until “Crisis strikes” to take care of issues that will deeply impact you, your family, your assets, your liabilities, your health. Now is a pivotal time to take action.

Yes, now is a great time to consider an aspect of life and business that is typically “put aside”. My work is extensive for people and businesses to explore the various components of what will you do when/if you experience a personal, work or natural disaster? Are you ready, just in case?

If “Now is the New Later” for you/yours to review what protection strategies you have in place and identify what’s missing and how best to fill the gaps, I invite you to contact me via Email or check out the website @ The Living Planner for additional information.

Stay well everyone. –Lynn
