As the year end draws near, we present our monthly Advisory Perspective Series.
Various professionals serve us throughout our lives. This Advisory Perspective Series was created to allow you to see “behind the curtain” and get to know professionals. As you build your team in life asking questions to get to know them, what they do and how they will support you moving forward is so important. Select professionals who provide you with information to set-up your house in a way that supports you and your family. Choose wisely!
This series continues with the questions we’ve been asking professionals this year. These questions were designed to give you an idea of what to consider when meeting or selecting professionals for your team. Let’s have a look “behind the curtain” at what the professionals have to say.
The professionals I feature in this series are dedicated to their fields, to their clients and to you being prepared in all ways best for you.
This month, we focus on preventative and restorative health and introduce Dr. Derek K. Albrecht B.S., D.C., OsteoStrong Murrieta – JDG-OS Enterprises LLC. He has been a health-care professional for over 20 years. Dr. Albrecht was featured recently in the Valley Times Newspaper. Here is a quote from this feature: “Think of bone density like a savings account. Deposit as much money as you can early on, let compound interest do the work, live within your means, and retire at a reasonable age with enough money to carry you through those golden years. In the same way, building massive amounts of bone density at an early age, even with normal losses, will enable you to sail smoothly through those same golden years with strong and supportive bones.”
Question 1: What do you enjoy about working with my clients?
What I enjoy most about working with our clients is overcoming their fears and skepticism. Sharing their joy as they experience pain diminishing, their strength increasing and their overall life changing for the better.
Question 2: How would you suggest a client prepare for their first meeting?
I tell our members to come to their first session prepared to do three things. First of all, dress as you like, be comfortable but bring flat bottom shoes. Secondly, show up with an open mind and high expectations. Lastly, ask questions; do not leave our office unaware.
Question 3: What can members expect immediately? Over time?
Immediately following an OsteoStrong session there is a greater sense of “body awareness”, within a few sessions members are experiencing noticeable increases in strength and oftentimes decreased pain. Over time, members will continue to notice improvements in strength, balance, decreased or eliminated back and joint pain as well as considerable increases in bone density.
Question 4: What is your service philosophy?
My service philosophy stems from a combination of education mixed with individual need. What I mean by that is that I want to make absolutely sure our members leave our office with every question answered; leaving no doubts. I also want to make sure that their specific individual needs and desires are addressed. Finding each members motivational triggers and following a care plan which strives to accelerate the desired results.
Question 5: What resources do you have for “laypeople” to understand?
We are currently working on educational material (power points, blogs, pamphlets and articles) which will address “laypeople” in multiple categories and needs. Youth bone health, sports enhancement, back and joint pain, osteoporosis and type II diabetes are but a few of our recent focus ideas to help reach our community, both local and nationally.
Bonus Question: If you had one piece of advice to anyone reading this article, what would it be?
The one piece of advice I would give anyone thinking about OsteoStrong would be; RESEARCH everything. See that it works, know why it works and come in ready to change your life.
